1.Introduction

Kevin Spence ("Developer", "I", "me") operates the Degree Slayer: Student Planner mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App. By using Degree Slayer, you agree to the terms of this policy.

2.Information I Collect

The App collects the following data necessary for core functionality:

  • Email Address— collected when you create an account, used for authentication and account management
  • User-Generated Content— degree plans, course names, grades, assignments, and academic data you manually enter or import via PDF
  • Gamification Data— XP, level progress, badges, and boss battle state derived from your academic activity
  • Device or Other IDs— device identifiers used for session management by the app framework
  • Theme Preference— stored locally on your device, never transmitted to servers

3.How I Use Your Information

Data collected is used solely for:

  • Authenticating your account and enabling login
  • Saving and displaying your degree plan, course progress, and gamification state
  • Providing core app functionality across sessions

I do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

4.Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is stored securely on Base44's infrastructure (base44.com), which serves as the App's backend platform. Base44 acts as a data processor on my behalf and does not use your data for independent purposes.

5.Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

6.Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Account passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext.

7.Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by:

  • Navigating to Settings within the App and selecting "Delete Account"
  • Emailing support@degree-slayer.com with the subject "Delete My Account" from your registered email address

All data will be permanently deleted within 48 hours of a valid deletion request. See our full account deletion page at: degree-slayer.com/delete-account

8.Children's Privacy

Degree Slayer is intended for college students aged 18 and older. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact me at support@degree-slayer.com.

9.Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
